Dr Joseph Wenta
Dr Joseph Wenta has a diverse range of research interests ranging from international climate and environmental governance to Australian public law. His PhD titled, Just Resilience in Australia's Climate Adaptation Laws, examines the readiness of Australian laws to support flexible and equitable responses to climate impacts. He co-authored a chapter in 2019 titled, Global Climate Governance Between Hard and Soft Law: Can the Paris Agreement's "Creme Brulee” Approach Enhance Ecological Reflexivity? The chapter explores the challenge of developing new laws to facilitate adaptation within common law legal systems and reflects on adjustments that might enhance legal responses to climate change at the systemic level. The chapter is contained within the book, Research Handbook on Climate Change Adaptation Technology. For more information click here.
