Dr Elena Aydos

Dr Elena Aydos’ latest research project is a book she co-authored titled, Carbon Markets Around the Globe: Sustainability and Political Feasibility, set for publication in September 2021. The book takes an interdisciplinary approach combining sustainability economics, political economy, and legal concepts to advance existing theoretical frameworks and examine empirical data from various real-life emissions trading schemes, identifying strategies and policy windows for implementing truly sustainable schemes into the future. The publication has received praise from various international environmental law researchers, with Stefan E. Weishaar from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands stating the book is a “must read for any policy maker, climate activist and academic interested in and concerned about our common future”.
