Industry Partners

The Food Science Research Group is focused on the delivery of market driven research and strategic capacity building activities outlined in the Food and Agribusiness Research Roadmap. The Roadmap supports the NSW Central Coast Food Innovation Region Initiative led by Regional Development Australia Central Coast (RDACC), Central Coast Industry Connect (CCIC) in partnership with University.

Given the co-location with industry and government partners, including NSW Department of Primary Industries and TAFE NSW, the Group utilises existing food laboratories for the development of industry-led applied research, supporting superior products and services through research and innovation and accelerating business growth and market opportunities via access to greater networks. Researchers are capable of designing, building and managing safe, sustainable and cost-effective food supply chains vital for growing Australia’s food industry and exports.

Other major strategic partnerships include Food Innovation Australia Ltd and Central Coast Food Alliance. Active research partnerships include CSIRO, Georgia Tech Integrated Food Chain Centre, Abertay University, Sanitarium, Sun Rice, Coca Cola Amatil, Master Food Australia, Hunter Valley wine industry and Batlow.
