Anne Carman

Anne Carman is a seasoned consultant with 20 years of experience as the director of a consultancy specializing in strategic and organizational development projects in Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia. Her extensive expertise encompasses guiding organizations through strategic development, operational and cultural change initiatives.
Anne has successfully designed and executed numerous leadership development programs, ensuring sustained change, skill enhancement, and individual growth accountability. Her portfolio also includes overseeing organizational transformations, fostering team engagement, assessing job and workforce impacts, and conducting risk analyses. Furthermore, she is an executive coach, supporting team talent and performance management. Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology, a Master of HRM and Coaching, and a Diploma in Training Design and Development.
Over the next three years, Anne will pursue her PhD studies at the University of Newcastle's Centre for Construction Safety and Well-being. Her research will examine learning interventions' impact on leadership and communication strategies and measure supervisors' safety behaviour patterns pre- and post-intervention. Furthermore, her study will explore incorporating AI in the learning environment, culture change, and project team leadership.
Abu Bakor Hayat Arnob

Arnob brings a strong academic and technical background in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, and Edge Computing, supported by multiple peer-reviewed publications and international research collaborations. His expertise spans Vision Transformers, Anomaly Detection, Federated Learning, and Foundational Models—critical areas for shaping the future of smart and safe construction sites.
His PhD project, "Fostering AI-Powered Solutions to Identify and Mitigate WHS Hazards at Construction Sites," is jointly funded by Hansen Yuncken and the University of Newcastle, reflecting a powerful industry-academic partnership aimed at delivering real-world safety impact.
Arnob’s work will focus on developing innovative, human-centred AI solutions to identify and reduce WHS risks in dynamic construction environments proactively.
