External Advisory Board
The External Advisory Board plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction and impact of the Centre for Construction Safety and Wellbeing. Comprising senior leaders from industry, government, regulatory bodies, and professional associations, the Board provides independent advice to ensure that the Centre’s research remains practical, relevant, and aligned with industry needs.
Members of the Advisory Board bring extensive experience across construction safety management, workplace health and wellbeing, technological innovation, and policy development. Their insights help the Centre identify emerging challenges in the construction sector, anticipate regulatory and technological changes, and prioritise research projects that can deliver meaningful improvements in workplace safety outcomes.
Beyond providing strategic guidance, the Advisory Board also strengthens collaboration between academia and industry. By facilitating connections with construction companies, government agencies, and professional bodies, the Board ensures that research findings are translated into practical solutions and adopted across the sector.
Regular meetings with the Centre’s leadership team allow Advisory Board members to review ongoing projects, offer feedback on research outputs, and suggest opportunities for innovation, partnerships, and industry engagement. This collaboration ensures the Centre continues to deliver high-quality research that addresses real-world challenges and improves the health, safety, and well-being of construction workers across Australia.
