Collaboration with academic and industry partners
Collaboration with academic and industry partners is a cornerstone of GICAN’s operations.
We are home to researchers with diverse backgrounds who value interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues, not just at the University of Newcastle, but nationally and across the world.
Our industry partners recognise the potential impact of our work in the Hunter and beyond, and fund specific research projects so that we can take our research from the theoretical to the applied. This much appreciated funding of our translational research enables us to lead the way in developing world-leading, robust solutions to critical issues.
The University of Newcastle acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands within our footprint areas: Awabakal, Darkinjung, Biripai, Worimi, Wonnarua, and Eora Nations. We also pay respect to the wisdom of our Elders past and present.
