Policy of Non-Discrimination Against Women

The University has a clear policy of non-discrimination against women in our Workplace Bullying, Harassment, and Discrimination Policy. Section 7 states that the University does not tolerate and is actively committed to preventing all forms of unlawful discrimination.

Specifically, Clause 20 outlines protections against discrimination based on characteristics including (but not limited to):

  • Sex and sex characteristics
  • Pregnancy or potential pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding or expressing milk
  • Marital or relationship status
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender identity (including transgender status)
  • Intersex status
  • Parental, family, or carer responsibilities

These protections demonstrate the University’s commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and equitable environment for women and all staff and students.

The policy was effective from 8th of April 2024 and will be reviewed in 2027.
