Alex Zelinsky

Professor Alex Zelinsky, AO, is the University of Newcastle’s 8th Vice-Chancellor and President. A computer scientist, systems engineer and roboticist, his career spans innovation, research, start-ups and education, underpinning his focus on sustainable programs addressing energy transition, housing, health equity and digital transformation.

Lisa Wood

Professor Lisa Wood is Pro Vice-Chancellor for Health, Medicine and Wellbeing at the University of Newcastle. A leader in nutrition research, she focuses on improving health outcomes, particularly for respiratory conditions, while teaching and supervising PhD students, advancing global health and education.

Robert Greenberg

Professor Robert Greenberg is Pro Vice-Chancellor for the College of Human and Social Futures at the University of Newcastle. A Yale PhD graduate, linguist and speaker of twelve languages, he promotes collaboration, innovation and global impact across education, law, humanities, social sciences and business.

Juanita Todd

Professor Juanita Todd is Pro Vice-Chancellor Research at the University of Newcastle, supporting the needs of the Institution’s research community and collaborators in partnership with colleges and external partners. She works closely with internal and external partners to advance research aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Lord Mayor of the City of Newcastle

The Lord Mayor of Newcastle is a member of the board of CIFAL Newcastle whose support and knowledge, along with the City of Newcastle’s, helps facilitate CIFAL Newcastle’s sustainability initiatives in the region.

Mr. Alex Meija

Mr Alex Mejia is Director of the Division for People and Social Inclusion at UNITAR and Director of the CIFAL Global Network. His work focuses on responsible public-sector leadership aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, while supporting 30+ CIFAL centres worldwide in sustainability initiatives.
