The Precious Point by Caroli de Villiers

Caroli's fifth year design project reinstates the heritage and cultural significance of the Newcastle Ocean Baths and showcase the preciousness of the site. Connecting and reconnecting the people back to the landscape and highlighting the history that has passed through the walls over the last century. The site is a place for the people of Newcastle, this new design gives additional program and enhances the experience for the people. Upgrading and extending the new bathing facilities, change rooms and cafe/flexible event space. Showcasing and giving new life to the site whilst respecting the history and the importance of the place.
