Children’s University Newcastle welcomes students back onto campus for our Discovery Days
Last month, Children’s University Newcastle (CU) welcomed over 1,000 students back onto our campuses to participate in On Campus Discovery Days. Partnering with 35 schools, events were held at Ourimbah, Callaghan, NUSpace and Manning Education Centre, Taree showcasing our diverse locations and facilities to students across NSW.

Open Foundation puts students at the core of curriculum and teaching
According to the Department of Education Higher Education Statistics (2019), the University of Newcastle is the largest provider of pathways programs in Australia, with Open Foundation the largest and oldest.

Supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students on the Central Coast to gain entry into University
In response to an external review of enabling pathways, a new version of the Yapug enabling pathway program will be delivered for the first time on the Central Coast in 2022. Yapug is a pathway program designed to enable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to gain knowledge and skills for entry into university while immersing them in Indigenous knowledge, history and culture.

New preparation program gives students a hand-UPP
