For many, the offer represents the beginning of their higher education journey and brings some much-needed positive news to the start of the year.

2078 offers will be made to current school leavers and 551 offers will be made to non-school leavers.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Mark Hoffman, said today’s offers were a testament particularly to the hard work and resilience of those who tackled the Higher School Certificate last year.

“Year 12 is an intense culmination of secondary education, so we’re thrilled to be able to provide some positive news and much-needed certainty as 2022 kicks off and look forward to welcoming many new faces into out University community,” Professor Hoffman said.

Strengthening its commitment to equitable access for all, the University of Newcastle has increased the range of options available for future students to gain financial support or follow alternative pathways to begin their higher education journey.

The introduction of seven new diplomas, as well as the announcement of a new scholarship program to support the aspirations of high achieving Year 12 students are just two of the ways the University is supporting those transitioning to higher education.
