2023 Australia Day Honours in celebration of our remarkable community
The University of Newcastle is proud to celebrate the accomplishments and impact of its diverse community who have been recognised in the 2023 Australia Day Honours.
Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alex Zelinsky AO, congratulated recipients, acknowledging that the awards provide an important moment to reflect upon the inspirational Australians who have made a significant impact in our communities.
“The honour of these awards goes out to the incredible contributions of students, staff, alumni, donors, and a wide network of our University community,” said Professor Zelinsky.
“It is with immense appreciation that I would like to extend my congratulations to each and every person that has been recognised in this year’s honours. It is this kind of dedication that drives our communities, and nation.”
