Celebrating the creativity of you
Unlike previous years that saw the festival limited to Callaghan and Ourimbah, Create is now open to all UON locations expanding to include City Precinct, Sydney and Port Macquarie.
Create will be held from Monday 3 to Friday 14 September 2018 as part of E+I 18 celebrations. The festival is an opportunity to challenge the traditional thoughts on art and change perceptions of creativity by being innovative and thinking outside of the box. Create also celebrates the importance of vibrant creative arts practice, collaboration and experimentation whilst enriching the student and staff experience of studying and working at UON.
For Create to happen, we need student and staff participation. If you study or work at UON, and have a unique, evocative, or abstract idea for a performance or exhibit, now is your time to have it realised. Up to $3000 in funding is available to help you put your creative thoughts into action.
Submissions that involve any of the following elements will be highly regarded: collaborations between students and staff; collaborations across faculties; cross art form projects; staging, performance or presentation in unusual places and spaces; projects that engage a large number of participants or audience.
Let your imagination reign and visit the webpage to submit your proposal.
Don’t forget to take a break from your desk during the weeks of 3-14 September, and discover the works that have emerged from the imagination of our students and staff. Even if you’re not performing or exhibiting, there will still be opportunities for you to get involved.
