Exciting International Opportunities for Creative Industries Students coming this year
Applications are now open for students studying Visual Communication Design or Media and Communication in 2026 as plans come together for the 2026 Singapore Study Tour and the 2026 Annecy Visual Communication Design Study Tour to France.

2026 Singapore Study Tour
Visual Communication Design or Media & Communication students have an exciting opportunity to travel to Singapore in May 2026 as part of their studies. This tour offers a unique chance to gain industry experience, earn course credit, and immerse participants in Singapore’s vibrant creative and media culture.
Students will undertake an animation industry and cultural study tour of Singapore as part of HUMA2001, run by the School of Humanities, Creative Industries & Social Sciences. Students will travel as part of a supervised group study tour and complete assessment tasks such as reflective journals and short video projects.
Throughout the program, students will participate in a wide range of cultural and industry-based activities and collaborate with students from NTU and LASALLE.

2026 Annecy Visual Communication Design Study Tour to France
Visual Communication Design students interested in graphic design, illustration, animation, film, or visual storytelling are encouraged to apply for this rare opportunity. Students will travel to France and attend the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, the largest animation festival in the world. The tour also includes a trip to Lyon and Paris.
The School of Humanities, Creative Industries & Social Sciences has secured the opportunity for 2000 and 3000 level Bachelor of Visual Communication Design students to take part in a supported international study tour to France in June–July 2026.
This year’s tour will include:
- Annecy International Animation Film Festival (Annecy, France)
- Cinema and Miniatures Museum (Lyon)
- Gobelins Animation School (Paris)
- Cinémathèque Française (Paris)
- The Louvre (Paris)
Students will undertake a study tour to France from 19th June to 3rd July 2026 (middle term), including Annecy, Lyon, and Paris. As part of the program, students will complete assessments and modules related to experiences on the trip such as festival screenings, industry talks, networking opportunities, university visits, cultural activities and museum visits.
