Newcastle Business School Recognises Excellence in Teaching
Newcastle Business School has announced the recipients of its inaugural NBS Excellence Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. Presented at the first School Board meeting of 2025, these awards celebrate educators who have made a significant impact on student learning.
Newcastle Business School (NBS) has honoured outstanding educators through the inaugural NBS Excellence Awards for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning. Presented at the first NBS School Board meeting of 2025, these awards acknowledge academic staff who have made a significant impact on student learning and include a $1,000 prize to support activities related to the scholarship of teaching.
The initiative was established under the leadership of Associate Professor Dr Marcus Rodrigs, President of Academic Senate and former Deputy Head of School Teaching & Learning – Postgraduate, who presented the awards to this year’s recipients.

Postgraduate Teaching Excellence:

Undergraduate Teaching Excellence:

- Dr Cathy Minzhi Wu
Associate Professor Rodrigs highlighted the importance of recognising excellence in teaching, stating, “These awards celebrate the dedication of our educators in delivering high-quality learning experiences for students. Their commitment to innovative teaching practices ensures our graduates are well-prepared for future challenges.”
