Australian Human Rights Commission - Speaking from Experience Project
On 7 August 2024, the Centre for Law and Social Justice partnered with the with the Australian Human Rights Commission on their "Speaking from Experience Project" to raise awareness around workplace sexual harassment, especially in under-represented groups.
The aim of the project was to hear from young people who have been sexually harassed at work to discuss helpful responses to workplace harassment and what these look like, unhelpful responses and what these look like, and to identify changes required in the workplace to address sexual harassment. For more information on the Speaking from Experience Project visit the AHRC website here.
As part of our partnership, we had an opportunity to meet with Sex Discrimination Commissioner Anna Cody, and representatives from the Australian Human Rights Commission. We engaged in informal meaningful discussion and look forward to future collaborative opportunities between the Centre for Law and Social Justice and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
