President of Tanzania receives Honorary Doctorate from UON

In an historic ceremony, the University of Newcastle today conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws upon His Excellency Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, fourth President of the United Republic of Tanzania. President Kikwete is the first head of state to be honored in this way by the University.
