Undergraduate
To guide you through the process of accepting your offer, please refer to the option below that aligns with how you applied to study at the University of Newcastle.
I applied directly using the portal
If you applied for the Early Entry Program or Direct Entry using the University of Newcastle’s direct admissions portal, please use the following details to log in to myHub to accept, defer, or decline your offer. myHub is the system used to manage your offer, enrolment, and finances.
Username: Your 8-digit Application Number
Password: Your day and month of birth (DDMM)
You have seven days from when your offer was issued to respond.
I applied directly using the Your Next Move application form
If you completed an enabling program (Open Foundation, Open Foundation extended, NuChance, or Yapug) and have received an offer through Your Next Move, please use the following details to log in to myHub to accept, defer, or decline your offer.
Username: Your 7-digit Student Number – e.g., C1234567
Password: Your current myHub password
You have seven days from when your offer was issued to respond.
I applied through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC)
If you applied through UAC, use the following details to log in to myHub to accept, defer, or decline your offer. myHub is the system used to manage your offer, enrolment, and finances.
Username: Your 9-digit UAC Reference Number
Password: Your day and month of birth (DDMM)
You have seven days from when your offer was issued to respond.
If you received an offer to study medicine at the University of New England (UNE) through the Joint Medical Program, you must manage your offer directly with UNE.
Activate your student account
After you have accepted your offer, the next step is to activate your student account.
Postgraduate
For instructions on how to accept your offer, please select the option below that matches how you applied to study at the University of Newcastle.
If you received an offer of admission directly from the University of Newcastle there is no need to formally accept your offer – we have placed you straight into the program.
The next step is to activate your account. To activate your account you will need your student number and program code, which were included with your offer. Once you have set up your account you will be able to enrol in courses and prepare for study.
If you wish to defer or decline your offer of admission, please contact us via email to admissions@newcastle.edu.au.

Activate your student account
After you have accepted your offer, the next step is to activate your student account.
To do this, you will need to log in to myHub approximately two hours after accepting your offer. Use your 8-digit application number, 9-digit UAC reference number, or your University of Newcastle student number as your username and your date of birth as your password (DDMM).

International students
To accept your offer you will need to:
- Check the details of your offer carefully and make sure you read and understand the conditions of your enrolment
- Meet any conditions outlined in your offer letter
- Complete and sign the offer acceptance
- Upload your acceptance, evidence of payment and OSHC (if self arranged) using Newcastle's online application portal
- Make your deposit payment using one of the options outlined below

Payment options
The University of Newcastle accepts multiple payment methods for International Student fees. The below outlines the available options for international students to make their deposit. Please note that you should only pay your deposit once you have an unconditional offer. Deposit payments should be made directly to the University.
University of Newcastle's Online Payment Portal
We recommend that all students make their payment through the University online payment portal. The payment options available are Visa, MasterCard or Flywire.
To make your deposit payment select Student Payments and then International Student Deposit Payment. You will need to enter your details, including your student number, and select your preferred payment method.
This payment option is for all International and Study Abroad/Exchange Students.
Sponsorship or scholarship
If you are in receipt of a scholarship, please provide a copy of the financial guarantee or sponsor letter with your offer acceptance. Your financial guarantee or sponsor letter should outline the:
- program being sponsored
- duration of the scholarship
- contact information of the sponsor
- if the payment will be made directly to the University
- total amount of funds you will receive including:
- tuition fees
- living expenses
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
- any other expenses
Sanctions
Please be aware that your payment options may be affected by Australia's sanctions laws. These laws can limit the University's ability to process payments and issue refunds to students from certain countries. Check the list of sanctioned countries
