National Science Week
9-17 August 2025
Welcome to National Science Week 2025
Held from 9–17 August, National Science Week is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. This year’s theme, Decoding the Universe – Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language, invites us to dive deep into discovery and spark curiosity across all ages.
At our College of Engineering, Science and Environment, we’re proud to support this national initiative with a dynamic program of free community events, hands-on experiences, and engaging talks.
As we mark our University's 60th anniversary in 2025, we celebrate six decades of driving innovation, championing research, and preparing our region for the future. Our National Science Week event series reflects this ongoing commitment to exploration, impact, and inspiring the next generation of changemakers. There’s something for everyone to uncover.
