 Indeah Clark Punters 2023
Indeah Clark Punters 2023
Navigating the multifaceted influences of Australian identity and “the third space,” a theory emerging from the collision of cultures, artist Indeah Clarke draws inspiration from her Indigenous heritage and travels to Japan.
Clark combines traditional Aboriginal weaving practices with her interest in the rich history of Japanese ceramics. Creating a body of work that symbolises her personal exploration of hybrid identity, and notions surrounding “the third space”.
Useful Objects explores the intricate realms of identity as well as the beauty and complexity of diverse identities.
The Third Space will be showing at Watt Space Gallery from the 15 June - 15 July.
