The Jacob Neale Jazz Awards celebrate our next generation of talented jazz musicians.
The Jacob Neale Jazz Awards are presented by Newcastle Conservatorium of Music and major sponsor Newcastle Improvised Music Association (NIMA).
Many thanks to our kind sponsors and donors including the University of Newcastle, Newcastle Improvised Music Association (NIMA), Adamstown Arts and the Newcastle and Hunter Jazz Club.
Please join us for the awards finals and concert on Saturday 1st August at 7:00pm to celebrate our next generation of jazz musicians. Five young finalists will be chosen to perform a program of saxophone pieces with piano trio. Our performers will have the chance to win $5000 (1st prize), $2000 (2nd prize) and $500 (Regional Prize).
