Performed live on a Steinway concert grand, this immersive showcase reimagines masterworks by Beethoven, Satie, and Studio Ghibli alongside evocative originals—all synchronized to breathtaking visuals and the premiere of an original animation by Eluminate Creative. Blending cinematic orchestral production with lo-fi beats and rich jazz harmonies, the first set is profound, intense, and a journey for the soul.

The energy shifts for act two with the Newcastle Conservatorium Showband, directed by Jeremy Borthwick and featuring Terence Koo on keyboards. Packed with funky grooves, soulful vocal harmonies, and blistering horns, it’s an unmissable show for music lovers of all ages. Terence Koo

Terence Koo is an award-winning Australian jazz pianist, composer, teacher and University Medallist. Classically trained, he seamlessly fuses classical precision with jazz and contemporary grooves. Terence has released three feature albums, led a band residency on a cruise ship, and toured extensively with major stage shows and his trio, Round Midnight. Over his career, he has collaborated with celebrated artists including Marcia Hines, Russell Crowe, George Golla, and Bruce Mathiske.

Come and see the next gen of funk musos play banger Soul, R&B, Funk, Latin and Pop classics and hits. Recently reformed, the Showband will be launch their new line up at this event featuring Luella Adams, Georgia Dulley, Elijah Stove and Sue Carson on vocals, James McDonald and Jeremy Borthwick on horns, Jack Hanson on guitar, Nate Sauerbier on bass, Brandon Yarnold sharing bass and keys, Sophie Hawthorne on drums, and Terence Koo as special guest on keys.
