Northern Lights - Newcastle Chamber Choir
A group of formally dressed people stand spaced along a path beside calm water, with snowy mountains in the background and vivid green aurora borealis illuminating the night sky.
Newcastle Chamber Choir is heading to the 2026 World Choir Games in Helsingborg, Sweden, and you're invited to experience the music we'll be taking to the world stage!
The World Choir Games is the largest international choral festival and competition, bringing together elite choirs from across the globe in a celebration of musical excellence, cultural exchange, and artistic achievement. Following our success at the previous two World Choir Games, where we won two Gold Medals in both Gangneung, Republic of South Korea (2023) and Auckland, Aotearoa New Zealand (2024), we are proud to once again represent Australia in international competition.
This special concert offers a rare opportunity to hear our official World Choir Games competition repertoire before we perform it overseas. Featuring stunning contemporary and sacred choral works, this program showcases the creativity, diversity, and unique voice of Australian choral music on the global stage.
Join us for an unforgettable evening as we share the music that will represent our nation in one of the world's most prestigious choral competitions—all in one of the region's finest concert venues!
