What you'll experience
PD+ is a free weekly webinar series that takes place every Friday from 12-1PM. It is the perfect way to lunch and level up your industry engagement and commercialisation skills.
Meet your presenter: Dr Eeshan Kulkarni
Eeshan is a tech entrepreneur-turned-venture capitalist specialising in the commercialisation of IP-backed physical sciences technologies, particularly in the fields of energy generation and storage, decarbonisation, quantum computing, sensing and communication. Eeshan completed his PhD from the National University of Singapore, during which time he started (3), scaled (2) and sold (1) deep-tech ventures based on IP developed from University research labs. One of his spin-offs, ClassPoint, is now one of the largest online teaching companies in the world, with a leading market share in South-east Asia, and has attracted venture funding from various investors including Tencent (WeChat). After returning from Singapore, Eeshan served as a Principal (Commercialisation) at the St Baker Energy Innovation Fund, a venture capital Fund focusing on early-stage energy and e-mobility companies. Eeshan is now an advisor and Angel Investor for several start-ups in Australia and Singapore. He enjoys working closely with academics, assisting in the hands-on commercialisation of research-backed technologies – both licensing and spin-off – and leveraging his deep networks in Asia and the US.
