Startup Stories - Michael Chijoff

This event was held on Wednesday 6 April 2022

Michael Chijoff is a multi-award-winning designer and the creator of his own disruptor adventure product brand Tacticagear, which smashed records and became the highest funded multi-tool in crowdfunding history, raising more than $960,000.

For more than 20 years Mike has worked to solve business and customer problems through innovative, smart and commercially driven design. Mike's experience spans a variety of industries, and as a Fellow of the Design Institute of Australia, he is a leader in the design field. Mike uses his extensive experience in material science, production planning, supply chain and logistics, product design and development in all his creations. As well Tactica, his diverse portfolio includes designing a world first water harvesting system in Dubai and re-imagining the iconic Australian BBQ to provide ‘whole-of-community’ access in public spaces.

Mike loves to build, create, figure out how stuff works, and share his knowledge with others. Being a keen adventurer himself, he combines his love of adventure with his design prowess to create cool stuff for your everyday adventures, and which benefit the whole community.

Join us for Startup Stories and hear how Mike’s passion for collaboration, networking and creating new thinking across industry has driven an adventurous and successful career, and how becoming a member of the I2N Incubator Hub has helped along his journey.
