Sport has allowed First Nations people to compete as equals on the field. Success offers possibilities of financial reward and social acceptance far above that which might be otherwise available. Yet as time goes on, we find sport and racism cannot be separated.

Join NITV’s Yokayi Footy presenter, Bianca Hunt, and Co-Director of the Purai Global Indigenous History Centre at the University of Newcastle, Emeritus Professor John Maynard, as they discuss the trailblazers who changed the game and the challenges facing the next generation on and off the field.

Where: Australian Museum Theatre, Sydney

Cost: Single event tickets available from $24- $35, season passes for the '2021 Lunchtime Conversations Series' also available.
