Prof Lefebvre is a chemical engineer with the capacity to commercialise his research. The invention of low pressure filtration membranes, commercialised through formation of Memtec has led to a plethora of applications in the important field of water and water reuse.
More recently he has developed biodegradable plastic polymers with wide-spread applications. No longer will your coffee cup live forever in landfill.
