Newcastle Migration Research Networking
Newcastle Migration Research Networking
We are scholar-practitioners working in the College of Human and Social Futures. Our research and advocacy focuses on displacement and resettlement, and we are seeking to connect with others at the University of Newcastle who are interested in these research areas. We are forming the Newcastle Migration Research Network (NMRN) to promote the excellent research and advocacy currently being undertaken across the university, and to facilitate increased transdisciplinary collaboration in displacement and resettlement contexts. We also hope to create new pathways for coordinated community outreach and engagement.
Our very first event is aimed to improve the social and research networks amongst the colleagues who study refugees and asylum seekers' displacement and resettlement. We invite you to join us for a cup of tea and to share your research interests!
After the networking event, the Centre for Law and Social Justice will be hosting a screening of the movie ‘Scattered People’, followed by a panel discussion.
You can register for the film screening here.
