Workshop: Improving participation, success and retention of online students

A workshop is being held by the Online Teaching, Learning & Research Community of Interest on how to improve improve online student participation, success and retention in higher education.
Dr Cathy Stone, recipient of a 2016 Equity Fellowship from the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education, will be presenting the workshop.
Anyone with an interest is invited to come along and hear about the findings from a recent Australian study into the experiences of first-in-family students who are studying online.
The workshop will also be an opportunity to learn more about a new national project to investigate the practices, support and retention strategies currently being used within online learning both in Australian Universities and at the Open University, UK.
