This webinar provides a practical guide to carrying out a competitor analysis for a research innovation to determine how crowded the commercial marketplace, potential barriers to entry and how these can be overcome, and what a competitive analysis can tell you about your own unique strengths.

Meet your presenter: Sabine Straver
Sabine has over a decade of teaching experience across a number of subjects within the University sector. Her work has centered around the intersection between industry and university through innovation and commercialization, with extensive experience with a variety of stakeholders including industry partners, community members, rural/regional entrepreneurs, and first nations and multicultural entrepreneurs.
Some of the highlights of her career include winning the 2020 Australian Financial Review Higher Education Award for Learning Experience, as well as the 2020 Vice-Chancellor’s Outstanding Service Award. She has also been an integral part of the design for the iAccelerate training program for Entrepreneurial ideas, and delivered the program from 2020 in a blended delivery design. Sabine has worked on the 2023 federal and statewide funded program RISE that supports regional, rural and First Nations Entrepreneurs, has written three books, created two online courses and is currently participating on the National Industry PhD Program through Campus+ while she completes her PhD.
