Three Minute Thesis Finals
HDR Student Festival text inside a colourful border of small science images
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Final is always a highlight of the Higher Degree by Research calendar. As part of the HDR Student Festival, this year's finalists will take to the stage to showcase their research and communication skills.
An 80,000 word PhD thesis would take 9 hours to present. Their time limit... 3 minutes!
Our 13 finalists will explain:
- WHAT their research is about
- HOW they are conducting their research
- WHY their research is important
Come along to the Bar on the Hill and be dazzled by the creative talents of our HDR students while enjoying refreshments throughout the evening.
The winner of this 3MT Final will go on to represent our university at the 3MT Asia-Pacific Competition, hosted by The University of Queensland (UQ).
