Healthy Ageing Innovation Challenge - Expert Panel

Thursday 31 Jul 2025 from 4:00pm - Thursday 31 Jul 2025 until 6:00pm

I2N has partnered with the Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network to deliver the Healthy Ageing Innovation Challenge!

This Innovation Challenge will focus on a complex problem with both local and global significance – equitable access to healthy aging resources. The challenge addresses the critical question:

"How might we improve and maintain equitable access to healthy aging resources for older adults from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds in our communities?"

Our Expert Panel

  • Viv Allanson - Maroba
  • Julie Byles - University of Newcastle / HMRI
  • Scott Lynch - Community Therapy
  • Deb Moore - Active Stronger Better

Who should attend?

  • Frontline workers / carers / older people with lived experience
  • Industry executives / stakeholders who can make a difference
  • Innovators, researchers / people who want to flex their skills to make a difference
  • Students who want to learn about the innovation process
  • Anyone who wants people to age in a healthy and happy way

The aging population represents one of the most significant demographic shifts of our time, with unique challenges that require innovative solutions. Australia, like many countries, faces the reality of an ageing society where ensuring healthy, equitable ageing for all is paramount.
