Africa Day
The University of Newcastle’s (UON) African Students will celebrate Africa Day on Friday 22 May, 2020. Africa Day is celebrated annually by
all African countries and communities around the world to commemorate the establishment of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) in 1963 now known as the African Union (AU). A lot has been achieved in the history of the AU but there is more to be done and nothing will stop our resourceful UON African Students from marking this important day.
The African Postgraduate Student Association (APSA) has put together exciting online activities to celebrate achievements, show their resilience in surviving tough times such as a global pandemic away from home and dedication to building healthier happier equitable connected world. You are cordially invited to join in the celebration from the comfort of your own home through the contact provided on the poster.
