A Piano Competition Celebrating Music, Stories and Connection
Grand Connections is a live music event series celebrating the people, stories and musical talent within the University of Newcastle community.
Inspired by ABC's The Piano, the series invites University of Newcastle students, staff and alumni to perform at the Local Connections piano space at Callaghan.
More than a search for technical excellence, Grand Connections celebrates musicality, creativity, audience connection and the personal stories behind each performance.
Join us for the third heat, enjoy lunch while supporting and cheering on your peers, and cast your vote to help decide who advances to the finals.
The first-place winner takes home $1,000!
