AI In Action – Gamification for Student Engagement

The LDTI AI in Action series provides a platform for staff to come together and discuss how they are using GenAI in their teaching, learning, and research. Each 30-minute session includes a brief demonstration and time for Q&A.
Join Bridget Te Velde, Laura Feighan, and Professor Yolanda Surjan from the School of Health Sciences for discussion of how they have leveraged artificial intelligence to deliver gamified experiences to support student engagement in their course
In a new 2000 level course of 300 students from three different disciplines, Bridget, Laura and Yolanda have introduced gamification features generated by AI/human input (and some healthy competition!) encourage student engagement.
