Founder Stories - Adam and Jo Boyle
adam and jo boyle
You've seen them before but where are they now? Hear the highs, lows, wins, mistakes and inside story from an entrepreneur who's lived it.
You've seen them pitch. You've watched them grow. But where did they actually land?
Adam and Jo Boyle share their exit journey and what came next with complete honesty. After years of building, pivoting and scaling Pegasus, they sold to Avetta for $150M+ in 2020. But what does life after exit actually look like?
Adam joined Pegasus as Chief Executive in 2007, tasked with diversifying the business and commercialising their tech product. Under his leadership, Pegasus transformed from labour hire and training in the mining industry into a global workforce compliance tech platform, providing workplace management solutions to global corporates.
The journey included pivoting through the mining downturn, landing major retail clients like Woolworths, and rapidly adapting during COVID-19 to help businesses manage pandemic protocols. That agility attracted acquisition offers. The sale changed everything.
But what does "successful exit" actually mean? What happens to the team? How do you navigate acquisition negotiations? What comes after?
