Sally Hancock

After 7 years in Corporate Management, Sally started a Bachelor of Construction Management (UON) to allow her to grow her project management skills in the field she is truly passionate about. Sally was awarded a scholarship by the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) and in her third year of study, used the UON exchange program to spend a semester at Clarkson Engineering University in Upstate New York.

In 2010 Sally accepted a Project Management role for Spaceframe Engineering in China for the construction of the Oyu Tolgoi copper processing plant in the Gobi Desert, Mongolia - the largest of its kind in the world. Sally's leadership and successful management of the project led to her being elected to Deputy Chair of the Global Mining Association of China (GMAC), a position which saw her steer the strategic direction of domestic and foreign companies undertaking mining-related activities in China.

After returning to Australia, Sally spent some time doing remote area work in Far North Queensland and then commenced work with Brookfield Multiplex working on the new AFL stadium and sports precinct in Perth which will be the third largest in Australia.
