REGIONAL POPULATION GROWTH - ARE WE READY?

The HRF Centre's Hunter Economic Breakfast on 15 November will continue this year's theme of Collaboration and Vision with a focus on the future.

Regional Australia Institute (RAI) co-CEO, Liz Ritchie, will examine RAI's recently released publication, Regional Population Growth - Are We Ready?

What will the Hunter look like with 2-million residents? Where will they live? What jobs will they have? Congestion at the beach? On the Hunter Expressway?

Professor Alex Zelinsky, the University of Newcastle's Vice-Chancellor, will discuss the University's new strategic plan.

Dr Anthea Bill, the HRF Centre's Lead Economist, will present an update on the current state-of-play for the national, international and local economies. She will also provide an overview of the Hunters population prospects.
