Jobs on Campus: Science and Engineering Challenge Event Assistant
Jobs on Campus Info Session
The University is looking for a number of current students to become Event Assistants for the Science and Engineering Challenge.
The Science and Engineering Challenge (SEC) is a nationwide STEM outreach program presented by the University of Newcastle in partnership with communities, Rotary clubs, universities and sponsors. The SEC provides a pathway of memorable and fun activities for young people during their years at school, through University and into the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) workforce.
In this role you will support a range of events including Discovery Days for students in years 5 and 6, Build Your Future Days for students in years 7 and 8 and ‘Challenge Days’ for students in years 9 and 10. These events aim to inspire students to study science and mathematics in years 11 and 12, and to consider a future career in science and engineering.
These are casual, paid positions with opportunities available for both Newcastle and Central Coast-based students. Note some off-campus travel is required in this role.
Interested? Come along to this online information session to hear more details about the position. We will provide tips on how to submit a high-quality application and outline the support available to help you through the application process.
