The Centre for Advanced Training Systems is seeking a recent graduate or current student in their final years of study to join their team as a Research Assistant.

The Research Assistant will assist in conducting research and development activities relating to the use and evaluation of Extended Reality (XR) technologies in training and education. Core responsibilities include following established research protocols to collect and manage physiological data and support data analysis for ongoing human research trials. The Assistant will also perform general administrative tasks.

The Centre for Advanced Training Systems oversees human research projects surrounding the development and use of cognitive and stress management training solutions, and.  is particularly focused on the potential for Extended Reality (XR) and biofeedback technology to support targeted training for first responder populations.

This is a part-time role for 6 months based at the Callaghan campus, with a possibility of extension based on funding availability. Students with experience in lab-based research are strongly encouraged to apply.
