Career Workshop

The Library are looking for 2 x current students to work as part of a project team on The Fraternal Societies Collection at the Callaghan campus.

The Fraternal Societies Collection is a collection of intriguing fraternal society memorabilia – the largest of its kind in Australia – which sheds a unique light on history dating back to 1829. The Collection includes photos; rare books; journals of the individual fraternal societies; and fascinating artefacts such as regalia, ceremonial apparel, honour boards, voting boxes, ritual objects, medals and swords.

The 2 roles available are:

  • Library Project Assistant
    Organise, document, digitise, upload and display collection materials specific to the project. This is a casual role for 2 days per week for 16 weeks, commencing in early August.
  • Library Project Officer
    Digitally curate, promote, exhibit, and generate broad engagement with the collection. This is a casual role for 1.5 days per week for 16 weeks, commencing in early August.
