Jobs on Campus: Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Leaders
The University of Newcastle's Access and Transition team, part of Student Central, is seeking applications from current students interested in becoming PASS Leaders in Semester 1, 2023.
The Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS) Program is a study assistance program that provides regular scheduled, out-of-class, peer-facilitated study sessions led by mentors called PASS Leaders, for students seeking to improve their grades.
PASS Leaders are trained in how to facilitate positive, collaborative group learning, how to conduct sessions and the concepts of promoting a learning environment.
This is a flexible role that is perfect for current students. Successful applicants will facilitate between one to three sessions per week at times that are negotiated around class schedule of the students in the course and the Leader’s personal class schedule.
