Want to gain paid experience while helping fellow students succeed at university?
AccessAbility are looking for current students to join their team as Specialist Peer Mentors. As a Specialist Peer Mentor, you'll support Autistic students to navigate university life, connect with campus services, and develop strategies for study, organisation and communication. It's a rewarding opportunity to build valuable mentoring and support skills while making a real difference.
The role requires a minimum of two hours per week on campus, including mentee meetings, social group activities and fortnightly supervision. Positions are available at Callaghan, Newcastle City, Ourimbah and Gosford. Students entering second year or above in 2026 are encouraged to apply, particularly those studying Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Education, although students from any discipline with relevant interest or experience are welcome to apply. Lived experience as a Neurodivergent person is highly regarded.
