Are you passionate about supporting fellow students and building inclusive communities on campus? The AccessAbility team are looking for current students to join their team as Specialist Peer Mentors for 2026.
As a Specialist Peer Mentor, you’ll support Autistic students by helping them navigate university life and succeed academically, socially and emotionally. Mentors meet regularly with their mentees to offer guidance, share study strategies, and help build connections with campus services and social groups.
Positions are available at Callaghan, Newcastle City, and Ourimbah/Gosford campuses. This paid opportunity is ideal for students entering their second year or higher in 2026, especially those studying Speech Pathology, Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Education. Students from other degrees are welcome to apply and will be considered based on relevant experience or interest in supporting Autistic peers - lived experience as a Neurodivergent person is highly valued.
