Curious about career paths beyond the traditional options? Careers Outside the Box will help you explore different career pathways and discover opportunities you may not have considered. Through guided roundtable discussions, you'll connect directly with industry representatives, hear about their career experiences and ask questions about where your studies could take you.

What to expect
Guided industry roundtable discussions
2 pm – 3 pm | The Nook, Shortland Building
During this structured session, industry representatives will rotate between tables of students. You'll spend time with each representative, giving you a chance to hear different perspectives throughout the hour. Question prompts will help guide the discussion, or you can bring your own questions!
Open networking
3 pm – 4 pm | The Nook, Shortland Building
After the roundtable discussions, you can continue the conversations, connect with industry representatives and explore different career pathways during the open networking session.
Bookings are not required. However, if you’d like to receive a reminder, you’re welcome to register.
Who should attend
This event is open to all students interested in exploring different career pathways and discovering where their studies could take them. It may be particularly relevant if you're studying arts, communication, media, music and performing arts, social science, visual communication design, humanities or another area related to the creative industries.
