Studiosity Writing Feedback Plus
Student sitting with laptop, backpack and books
You are invited to attend an online presentation and discussion on the University of Newcastle's Studiosity Writing Feedback Plus service (WF+), which we have implemented for all students.
WF+ is accessible to your students via the Canvas 'Need Help' button in all courses and provides near instant feedback on students’ written assessments in the areas of structure, language, spelling and grammar, use of sources, and critical thinking.
WF+ does not store student data or use assessment information for training the AI, nor does it generate assignment content for students. Students must action and respond to feedback independently, facilitating better academic writing skill development.
In this session, Alison Hillier, Senior Learning Advisor UON will outline:
- How Learning Advisors use WF+ with students to help them develop their skills,
And Scott Harrison, Partnerships Director, Studiosity will present on:
- The context for the development of University of Newcastle's Studiosity’s AI feedback tool
- The student experience of WF+, including a walkthrough and examples of the AI feedback
- How WF+ develops student learning and supports academic integrity
- How to embed use of WF+ in units to support your student's success.
(calendar invitation and Zoom link will be sent prior to the event)
