Publish or Perish vs. Publish and Perish

This event was held on Wednesday 13 July 2016

Campus Conversations for the Curious are an opportunity for staff to share thoughts and ideas and to engage with colleagues and leaders on matters that relate to our work, the campus or the organisation more broadly.

Publish or perish vs. Publish and perish

In the changing landscape of higher education and research, it is clear that industry engagement, impact and innovation will become increasingly important in shaping perceptions of the quality and success of universities and individual academics. Join the conversation where we consider the role and relevance of publishing in this new environment, and whether researchers should continue to focus on publishing with these shifting expectations.

The conversation will be led by Professor Caroline McMillen, Vice-Chancellor, Professor Cathy Coleborne, Head of School Humanities and Social Science and Professor Adam McCluskey, Interim Head of School of Environmental and Life Sciences.
