Press for Progress - Supporting the participation of more women in STEMM
In a world where science, engineering, technology, maths and medical science (STEMM) are fundamental to addressing some of the great challenges we face, we need to ensure we are drawing on the talents of all.
While the notion of gender stereotypes is certainly under attack, there remains an issue. Girls and women are underrepresented in these fields. Why? How can we improve the progress of women through education and careers in STEMM? What are the implications if we don’t?
Will you join us to press for progress?
The University of Newcastle invites you to join this International Women’s Day event where we will get a glimpse of who is doing what to address this important issue for girls, women and society at large and we will have the chance to discuss what more we can do to #pressforprogress together.
