Interactive Oral Assessments at Adelaide University
Interactive Oral Assessments
LDTI is pleased to welcome Adelaide University’s Dr Sarah Davey (Lecturer, School of Biological Sciences) and Dr Christopher Della Vedova (Senior Lecturer, School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences) to discuss their experiences implementing interactive oral assessments.
Sarah and Chris will describe practical “real world” applications of oral assessments across a variety of contexts including how they have been used in large courses, and used in place of traditional high stakes formal exams. Common misconceptions about potential implementation hurdles will also be discussed.
Sarah, Chris, and colleagues recently presented at the 2025 ASCILITE Conference, and their work can be seen at Interactive oral assessments as authentic, integrity-rich alternatives to traditional evaluation methods.
