Defence Forum - Moving Forward

UON's Defence and Security Research and Innovation Hub is hosting the ‘Defence Forum – Moving Forward’.
The forum provides the opportunity to discuss future prospects for the Defence industry as it moves forward with recent changes to government and industry policies.
The UON Defence Forum provides an opportunity for Defence and industry to engage with University academics to support further involvement with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) to meet Defence driven priorities.
The UON Defence Innovation Hub aims to increase its involvement with the Defence industry and Defence related organisations in future projects and opportunities.The forum will include ‘pitch’ style presentations from key stakeholders within Defence and Defence industry as well as academics from the UON providing insight into their research, technology and capabilities in the following disciplines;
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Cyber security;
- Robotics, machine learning, virtual systems and the Nubots;
- Simulations systems;
- Modelling simulation;
- Cognitive thinking;
- Energy technologies and utilisation;
- Mechatronics and autonomous vehicles; and
- Environment technologies.
An update will be provided on the Williamtown Defence Innovation Hub and opportunities for future Defence research will be discussed.
After the conclusion of presentations there will be an opportunity for presenters and attendees to network.
